This cutie is Aileron (French for little wing) aptly named by his owners after the part of an airplane that gives it lift. He is an eight year old Maltipoo that volunteers as a therapy dog with autistic children. Aileron came in because of vomiting, loss of appetite and we discovered after testing, elevated liver enzymes. His liver biopsy showed he has hepatitis (inflammation of the liver). Dr. Balog was able to treat with antibiotics, liver protectant and anti nausea medications. Aileron is responding well to treatment.
