Rosie, a 5-month-old Brittany Spaniel, was investigating things in the basement when she let out a yelp and took off running with a fishing pole trailing behind her. Her owners quickly brought her (sans fishing pole) to WVRC and x-rays revealed a fish hook lodged in her esophagus. Luckily for Rosie, Dr. Johnson and the emergency staff were able to remove the hook without surgery. After a few hours of recuperation she was happy to see her owners and head back home.
