Procedures

Endoscopy

Endoscopy is the visual inspection of the interior of various body systems through a small tube containing fiber optics. The endoscope is inserted into an orifice allowing an internist to view inside internal organs. Sometimes the procedure is simply for diagnostic purposes such as collecting biopsy specimens and other times the procedure is used for treatment purposes, such as balloon dilation, stent placement  or removal of a foreign object. There are many types of endoscopy we provide; upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, nasal cavity, respiratory tract and urinary tract.

Bone Marrow Biopsies

Collection of samples of the bone marrow tissue are helpful in determining the cause of anemia or other blood cell disorders.

I-131 RadioIodine Therapy

Used to treat hyperthyroidism in cats, this program is only one of two offered in the state of Wisconsin.  The treatment injection is a simple and effective way to treat hyperthyroidism in cats and is 94% curative, with no long-term medication, special diets, or surgery.
